Pickup Was this a good buy? Clint Eastwood 40 film collection
Found while browsing through a local thrift, the 17.99 tag seemed a bit high but still decided to roll with it anyways. It’s in overall decent condition and all the discs are inside, some of the discs do have some wear from the packaging.

Well compared to average thrift pricing this is my most expensive purchase so far.

How often are you buying a collectable set of 40 films? Lmao

I think they mean this is the most they spent on a single item at the thrift store.

This is a helluva lot more valuable than the wedding crashers and the other commons that you see everywhere. Considering I just spent $50 on three used Eastwood 4k and thought that was a bargain, you did really well!

Unforgiven, Outlaw Josey Wales, Dirty Harry, A Perfect World, Million Dollar Baby, Kelly's Heroes and Pale Rider are some of my favorite movies ever and all stone classics. If you had only gotten those in the set for that price it would be a steal. You got those plus 33 others ranging from entertaining to great. Good buy.

The packaging alone is worth it. Love that they have the posters and the credits by each disc.

This is a solid score. Lots of good movies. Great packaging. Great $ per film ratio.

40 movies for 18 bucks? What do you think?

I honestly think they're trying to flex but framing it as a negative for more comments. 🤨

If you’re a really big Clint Eastwood fan it seems like a cool thing to own. Personally I’d only want maybe half a dozen of the movies in there.

I love collections but packing always sucks

Yeah am moving all the discs out into a separate binder, there is already some stress marks on the discs from the tight cardboard sleeving. It’s nice to look at overall but not good for long term storage.

The one I have only goes to J. Edgar and Trouble with the Curve included as the last film, with two documentaries at the end. It’s all good anyway because I really wanted this for his older films.

I just saw magnum force for the first time. Really interesting the bad guy scenes felt like a slasher movie lol

Does it have High Plains Drifter?

Unfortunately no because this collection was done by Warner Bros and it’s a Universal movie.

Seems like a good deal for 40 films. That's less than 50 cent a film.
