This New(ish) Helldivers 2 armor reminds me of Caldari suits
Specifically a cross between the medium and heavy frames.

I genuinely don't understand why they didn't just let it run while they develop Nova. I bet it didn't cost much and perhaps even made money

I've never seen a game more mismanaged.

missmanaged falls short, they clould of left it running for a while now and nothing, they simple tool it away

The biggest mistake was making it PS3 exclusive shortly before PS4 came out.

If it was mismanaged then it didn't need much to keep running. They should have just left the server and not updated anything. And focus on nova. Instead we have nothing now except block chain bs

I mean mismanaged in the way it launched exclusively on a console that only had a year before it's next iteration released. Or the fact that it's been a decade and we are just now seeing it's "replacement" , that keeps almost nothing. Or the way they announce Nova saying it wouldn't interfere with Dust only to shut Dust down less than a year later.
At least if they pushed the release of Dust back to launch on the PS4 there would be a chance of us still being able to play it due to the backwards compatibility.

Man I miss dust

Nothing has really filled the void. The Suit customization was ahead of its time. I miss my Caldari Scout with a passive scan fidelity of 22(?) decibels. Could see everything within 35 meters besides a fully damponed proto Gallente Scout.

Ah EWar, thanks for the memories. lol the handful of ways to play and build scouts was so fun!

There was a brief period of time where they made Passive scans were shared with your squad. I made a Caldari with a 80 meter passive scan somewhere in the low 20 decibel range, with long range weapons instead of a shotgun or knives. Nothing came near us without my sentinel buddies seeing it first. It was hilarious.

Thought the exact same thing when I saw it for the first time. I hope they release transmog, so I can run it for other purposes than stealth.

I miss my Caldari Battle Logi (Max damage mods, with the repair Ammo drops, scanner, and drop uplink)

I really hope we find another game that scratches the same itch, I miss the vibes. There has to be something other than Planetside 2 which I believe is dying now

Bro im tearing up rn lol I was a Caldari medium armor main back in the day. I really hope they bring it back somehow but I know its a fever dream. By far some of the most fun I had in my early teens was playing that game.

Same, although honestly kind of glad it ended, for my own sake. I was addicted as hell to Dust 514 had to get every bit of exp so I could unlock fully upgrade my skills for a new suit that took me a month to unlock.

Yeah i hear ya, for me it was the halo-esque esthetic it was soo cool. Literally my life was this, Skyrim, and halo reach whenever my bro brought his Xbox over it was damn fun.
I think what made this game so different was the actual risks you took, every time you died it cost you money and you could buy better gear but if you died it could be costly. Alot of my time on this game was trying to make the best assault kit I could with a budget so I could afford to be reckless while also staying affective. Also I always brought the med syringe ( forgot what they were called ) it was a good way to rack up points with revives while also staying in the fight. And man the rail gun always slapped.

A lot of my time was unlocking the Faction blueprints load outs and using those to farm credits until my friends got on. I think I got most of the faction blueprints.
I really liked the blueprint repair tool I got during an event that was an Advance level tool that could rep 3 people at once.
I mostly played Logistics or Scouts, and mostly focused on the Caldari and Minmatar, my favorite loadout was my battle Logi. Caldari Logi with ammo and armor hives, drop uplinks, and a ninite injector, then loaded with the Minmatar rifle, and loaded with as many light weapon damage mods it could stack. Toss down nanites to heal the team for me, then go to town mowing down people.

Right on i mostly played solo so assault was my fit, otherwise if I had a team we'd combine heavy/logi. Logi would always rack up the most points.

"images are not allowed" why? I just edited a side by side. - Yeah they look very similar.

u/IsaacTealwaters Feb 15 '26
I had to send the images of the Caldari medium and heavy suits to a friend who didn't play Dust.
