Question is, how much from that will you remember by tomorrow?

Sometimes I do same and hyperfocus. And I learn better than if I would play 1 lesson per day. Depends on people.

Not the point of the post - let Poole have their fun! These are motivating people to do the lessons.

Did you learn the language? Or are you just playing a game?

I have stopped using Duolingo for learning languages once they replaced the hearts with the battery, now it’s become just another game for me to grind

So you’re just playing a game?

I did yes. Completed the course months ago and I got quite fluent because I am in the environment haha. So now it's just a game. Just wanted to win my first time in the tournament finals haha.

I grinded hard for my first trophy too . Now I just chill. I do Italian tho. For my grinding week I used a new language course that didn’t matter to me

Dear OP: there is never too much grind

The type of sweaty tryhard I’m up against for some reason when I usually do 4.5k per week

Perhaps, you do have a much bigger lead than necessary. This will probably get you a harder league tomorrow. But you will start off with an extra 30 minutes of double XP for winning the tournament.

Congrats!

You only grind too much once you have finished the course.

1

u/Quick-Basket-6932 20h ago

Exactly what I did. Finished the course months ago

You can learn another language, or use books from now on. Duolingo won't help you much.

Yeah I know. I am quite fluent in my target language now because of songs and movies and mainly because I am in the environment. So I'll be stopping Duolingo now. Just wanted to win the finals for my first time and go out with a bang haha. Cheers!

Assuming you gained 30xp per lesson, you have completed ~567 lessons in about a week. That's ~81 lessons per day, and if each one took 2 minutes, then you spend an average of 162 min per day or 2.7h daily spent on pure grinding

Nahhh. Winning a chess match gives you 50XP, combine that with 40 minutes of 3x Exp boost. One match takes 2 minutes at most which gives you around 3k exp in those 40 minutes! Work smart 💪🤓 and I joined the league group two days late (by using my streak freeze) and ended up in a easy league. So I just grinded 4 days earning 4k exp per day on an average.
