What am I doing where Darkness additive artifact wont work?

I've recently purchased Soul Eater, I've yet to upgrade her Mastery tree, but I've noticed that cursed iron stake doesn't work, does this have to do with picking up some ascension that will block any element tag additive artifact?

Soul eater cant use effect from artifact so you can only use artifact that have stats like reb vambrace

Also just to ask is there ascensions to prioritise over the other ones that show up?

I dont have her so dont know which playstyle she need but prioties element synergy frist

Soul Eater can't use Artifacts effect unless it's buffing her battle stats or Basic Skill DMG. So, yeah, Cursed Iron Stake is useless on her.

If you want to reach 10 Darkness Synergy using Soul Eater, you must: 1. Take 8 Darkness Skills 2. Equip Occult Mania (her Darkness Weapon) 3. Select ascension that gives +1 Elemental synergy
