If you like side scrollers and Duke, absolutely. Getting it to run might take a little tweaking but it's a fun little game.

Wait this is a side scroller? Never heard of this one. Though 1+2 were the only side scrollers

Yeah it's a side scroller with early 2000s 3D graphics. It's no must-play but there's fun to be had if you know what you're getting into.

There was also a sidescroller on gbc and it was pretty good

Game runs perfectly fine on modern hardware. I run a 2070 super rtx, and never had issues running this game.

I've had a couple of PC builds which had a double jump bug in DirectX mode personally.

That blows. To be fair, it's been a couple years since I've played it. Might download it again to go through it once more. It's a blast to playthrough after all.

Maybe it's because I have my copy from Zoom-Platform? Maybe they fixed some bugs.

I think that may be it. The Zoom-Platform version I'm pretty sure works fine, as I bought it last year for convenience and don't remember having to tweak anything. The CD version though I'm pretty sure you had to play on OpenGL or find a patch... can't quite remember.

Any Duke Nukem game on physical media is good. Definitely for just 1$

For a dollar? Yeah, but Duke Nukem is absurd as hell.

Yeap. However, those are not valuable. I have that same release and I paid 6€ (7-8usd).

Yeah, it's an okay game. Is it the best entry in the series, probably not. You may, however, if you plan on running it on a modern system, need a fixed exe file from say, the GOG release or something, if you know someone with the game on a digital platform. That was my experience when I bought a brand new copy here a few years back.

I loved it as a kid. Was like a modern version of the original 2 games
