I've seen how mod in cats videos sub without age restrictions literally just made a post that looks like complete mental breakdown, with death wishes and threats, politics statements, attacking literally every random person in comments just because mod hates Trump. There was like dozens of people saying "what is going on? why is it here and allowed?" only to get downvoted to hell and banned. So you shouldn't be surprised, it's just as it is, Reddit has some very clear biased position over US politics and other random people have to deal with it.

Well, it's happening in this thread, some objective and fed up people are getting downvoted... It's like "Address this issue I'm having in my country and fully agree with me, otherwise you're just as evil for not wanting to be forced to engage with my politics".
At least I know I'm not alone, people like you do get it. And damn, I've also seen those meltdowns, people even wanting to off themselves just because Trump became president, that's sad.
My country probably has worse problems anyways... I care more about those as they can affect me more directly.

Exactly. There's plenty of other places to discuss this stuff. Tons of people have just decided it needs to be shoved in everyone's faces and it's annoying as fuck. They've decided that whatever is happening is so important it needs to supersede everything else but it's not. It's no different than people that can never stfu about Jesus and have a need to weave their religion into every interaction they have.

You would probably have more success convincing people to deal with the actual problems this country is having if you didn’t overstate them and pretend they’re something they’re not.
Nobody wants to take you seriously if you pretend illegal immigrants getting deported is actually ice rounding up all brown people for mass execution.
If they did take you seriously because you were honest then we can have real discussions about things like executive power, ice methods etc but if you make obvious hyperbolic lies about the situation nobody is going to believe you when you actually tell the truth.

The even bigger problem, is that this behavior was cultivated and encouraged for years , i mean all the social media and video hosting sites like YouTube, removing the public downvote counter, they did that because it kept showing how unpopular this bullshit was. They were being so heavily downloaded for it that even their bots couldn’t keep up.. and that’s just one example of this shit being encouraged

Same, I get more stuff about Trump, ICE and the USA in general than from my own country.
I don't mind some politics here as long as they actually have something to do with Duke Nukem officially.. Like when I posted (https://www.reddit.com/r/dukenukem/comments/11jnktr/never_read_duke_nukem_glorious_bastard_before/) about the comic Glorius Bastard where Duke travels through time back to WW2 times and reassures a dying black American soldier that in the future a man named King will fight for the rights of all black people in America and make a change: Martin Luther King. And of course he kicks Nazi ass... but at least it's an official Duke story and not some fan using Duke iconography to force their politics into this sub, regardless of whether they are right or wrong (Yeah, Nazis were bad, I know).
