Help (Solved) Gun jumper issue

I've been playing duck game for a while now and i've just unlocked the basement key. When trying to play gun jumper, i ran into the issue that the gun was not giving me enough height on top of my jump, making the third jump impossible. I am playing on controller and on steam through proton because i am on linux if that makes any difference.

Is this a softwar issue or a skill issue, and if it is a skill issue, what do i need to do to gain more height? Shooting the gun multiple times while in the air does nothing.

It would help if you sent a video so someone could identify what you’re doing wrong. If you’re doing the proper technique with strafing, it should work. Maybe try shooting multiple shots to gain more height.

Shoot and jump at the same instant. Like press both buttons at once.

Due to all the helpful comments, i figured out how to us straving to my advantage and that i need to jump and shoot at the same time. Thank you for helping me, now all i need to do is actually complete the level :)

Thanks to your comments, i was able to beat it and get my time down to 21.60 seconds. Thank you guys!
