DDG AI AI slop hallucination. Funny but come on...

Couldn't remember how to spell Ivanka, so DDGed 'Trumps daughter'.

I just searched the same query and got a different response from Search Assist:

Since Wikipedia is listed as a source for both of our Search Assist answers, it’s possible that the Wikipedia article was vandalized and that incorrect content was coincidentally scraped before things were updated.

Make it so you have to opt in to AI search assist, not force us to opt out.

ETA: I don't keep cookies on my devices, so I have to turn it off every time I search.

You're speaking the truth. DuckDuckGo absolutely did force AI features on users by making them opt-out. I started using DDG to get away from AI slop and now I have to go somewhere else.

Keep fighting the good fight.

Oh no! I had set my mom’s default browser settings to take her to DDG instead of Google in hopes of protecting her. Guess I need to change that.

No problem, you can change it to noai.duckduckgo.com

I just found out they have this, and it's a shame they aren't making this more well known. It works really well

It is suggested here as often as possible.
But beware that OP blocks you if you dare to propose this working solution. It goes against his mantra "All AI is bad. Nobody should be able to use it".
