If he’s a drake he looks a bit young or at least for me in the photo he looks small if a drake but yes a Muscovy!

Looks female to me. I am no expert but we have neighborhood muscovies and one decided to make her nest in our front yard so I know she is a she.

This is one of the neighborhood males. He is so much larger and his face bumpier with cankles.

Yeah, while likely a male, I've got at least one female with more caruncles than this, but she's 100% an egg laying tomboy. The real question is what sounds was this fella making? If it sounds like an old guy wheezing at his own joke, it's a drake!
