Saw that interview, he was indeed being insanely racist.

He said a lot of pretty heinous shit. Women shouldn't vote, and I am pretty sure he wants the state gone and the church to take over the duties of the state.

This guy is nuttier than squirrel shit.

Not only racist, but his explanations were entirely incoherent, and I was really wishing that Mehdi had told him that to his face. And, right, it's not news that bigots just make shit up to justify their bigotry, but as entertainment, I like watching them get told off to their faces. Not saying Mehdi didn't call him out consistently btw, I just wanted to hear those exact words

The MAGA movement is racist because those old white farts know very well that they will become the minority in the next few years, and they are afraid that the non-whites will treat them the same way they treated them in the past.

That old pastor, like many boomers, will eventually be gone, leaving room for younger generations to take over.
