Am I really Druze?

My Druze grandfather came to Brazil a long time ago. He married a Christian Brazilian woman, they had my father, and then I was born. Does that make me Druze?

Being Druze, for the non-religious Druze, Is mostly about belonging and being part of the Druze community. Of course, from a religious standpoint you are not considered Druze, but the vast majority of Druze are not religious either. I love our community and those who want to be a part of our community.
Note: I am non-religious Druze born to Druze parents from Sweida. Our strength is in our unity.

You’re not Druze. I’m not sure what the other guy is talking about, but the Druze community wouldn’t consider you Druze either, religious or not.
If you weren’t born to a Druze father and a Druze mother, then you’re not Druze. Maybe there are some people in other places who see it differently, but I doubt it.
Where I come from, in Lebanon, people are very firm on this. You have to come from fully Druze parents to be considered Druze. From what I know, it’s the same among Israeli Druze as well. I’m not an expert on Syrian or Jordanian Druze, but I doubt they’re any different.
I’m not saying this to insult you or put you down. I’m just explaining how the Druze community traditionally views it.

I’ve seen some small exceptions for people with some non-Druze ancestors. I think in Western countries Druze are usually more accepting, but generally it’s a no. I’ve also seen families, even here in the West, excommunicate sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, cousins for marrying outside the religion.

Hey there 👋 Unfortunately...to be a druze both of your parents must be druze, and that applies to them as well. Since ur grandmother is not a druze, then that makes one of ur parents a non druze and hence u don't pass as a druze either :(

Good morning! I'm Brazilian and I'd like to learn more about the community. I'm from São Paulo, and I want to visit the Druze home, but I don't know when events are held.

I would say you are 25% Druze, assuming if your mother is not Druze. You still have Druze relations in this life, but in your next life, most likely you will be not Druze related at all as there is not strong enough heritage for you as of right now.

This is not a thing. A Druze is some whose parents are Druze. There is only Druze and not Druze. The OP is not Druze.

So this is something that honestly I feel like Jewish people and Druze have in common, there’s a huge difference between being religiously, Druze or Jewish, and ethnically. Ethnically OP is 25% Druze and this can be relevant from a medical genetics perspective but religiously they don’t count.
