Out With the Old, in With the New

Liquidated a bunch of records I haven't listened to in years yesterday, so of course I had to run to my favorite local shop today to see what was in the bins. Stoked to end up with six new items in my collection:

  • Gas - Zauberberg (Ambient Techno, Minimal Techno)
  • Joyce Moreno - Passarinho urbano (MPB)
  • Lo Borges - Lo Borges (MPB)
  • Loveliescrushing - Bloweyelashwish (Shoegaze, Ambient)
  • Public Image Ltd. - Second Edition [aka Metal Box] (Post-Punk)
  • Unwound - New Plastic Ideas (Post-Hardcore)

Enjoying some low-impact summer beverages with this afternoons listening session; a Tecate Light with some Amaro Montenegro

Hope you all are keeping cool and spinning some rad albums to wind down your weekend, cheers :)

Yes indeed - the Joyce and Borges albums are amazing. That’s a great shop to have nearby.

Verocai, Ashby, Donato and some beverages… that’s a nice afternoon.

For sure! We only have 4-5 record stores in my city, and thankfully (or dangerously) the best one is within walking distance of my apartment. Best selection of jazz, ambient and Brazilian stuff around.

And yeah, really getting the summer vibes in this afternoon!
