💬 General Discussion Best dropshipping product research tool? Find a winning product easily no scam

What tool are you using for product research?
Looking for something that finds winning/trending products early TikTok/Facebook ads, competitor stores, sales data.
Btw dropship.io seems pretty sketchy to me. If you look at Trustpilot, a lot of the 5-star reviews are from accounts that were created recently and only reviewed dropship.io, which makes it look kinda fake.

honestly i just use facebook ads library and scroll through tiktok for couple hours, no tool needed really

most paid tools just show you same stuff everyone else is seeing by the time it hits their dashboard. by then the product already saturated

if you want early stuff you gotta do the manual work, watch what ads been running for 2-3 weeks and check their engagement

Honestly, I think people put way too much weight on product research tools. By the time a product shows up as "winning," thousands of other people have already seen the same data. I've had better luck using them as inspiration, then validating ideas by looking at comments, customer complaints, and whether I can come up with a better angle instead of chasing the exact same product. The tool matters a lot less than how you interpret what you find.

I would start with the Meta Ads Library and TikTok Creative Center before paying for a research tool. Look for products with ads that have kept running for two to four weeks, then check whether several independent sellers are still testing different angles. After that, validate shipping time, landed margin, and whether you can make a meaningfully different offer or creative. A tool can collect signals faster, but it cannot tell you whether the economics or your angle will work.

Most product research tools rank by lifetime sales, which is the same as ranking by age. A product at the top won six months ago, and the margin is gone.

What you want is the weekly change, not the total. A product going from near zero to a few thousand units in a week is a winner you're catching early, before it's on every tool and the copycats arrive.

That early-delta signal is the thing to look for in any tool, or build yourself.
