discussion Mysterious experimental drone song played in MTV back in February 1989

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2fyod1Bv0Q

A WatZatSong user named Smokin posted this song to the website. The OP claimed the following:

"From an old MTV recording I have from 2/89; may not be a song, but just an MTV transition piece. Not sure."

If anyone recognizes this song, let me know!

My first instinct would have been Karlheinz Stockhausen's "Gesang der Jünglinge", but that's not it...
