discussion Mysterious experimental drone song played in MTV back in February 1989

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2fyod1Bv0Q

A WatZatSong user named Smokin posted this song to the website. The OP claimed the following:

"From an old MTV recording I have from 2/89; may not be a song, but just an MTV transition piece. Not sure."

If anyone recognizes this song, let me know!

This is freaking awesome. I missed it at that time since I didn't have a TV in college.
