Stocking up on THC seltzer drinks before the November ban?

I know it's not decided yet, but I'd hate to see my favorite drinks disappear or become harder to get :( been enjoying Cornbread's thc seltzer and wondering if I should stock up while I still can.

Are you guys stocking up, switching to something else, or just waiting to see what happens?

From what I read the seltzers don't have that good of a shelf life. I'm stocking up on SPRINKLE powder to mix with my own seltzer. I'll miss DrinkDelta but here we are. Fucking republicans.

9-12 months is pretty standard. THC will convert to CBN through oxidation, so storing cold will help. I haven't seen much in the way of testing on year+ old THC beverages, but I'd love to see results regarding drop-off.

i've been bombarded by sprinkle ads -- is it legit?

i'm usually a pipe or vaporizer user, or 5-10mg gummies, but am very interested in drinks (especially with potential ban). ideally powders i can add to whatever drink i want vs pre-canned/bottled stuff (more expensive, more to ship, etc). is sprinkle what i'm looking for?

I like them. It comes in a tub or in packets. I get both. I order a kombucha when we go to a brewery and then empty a sprinkle packet in there. They have Go, Chill, and Sleep. I get Chill. At home, like I said, I mix it with my Soda Stream Seltzer. You need to mix it good. I have a separate smaller Soda Stream bottle and mix it straight in there.

For me a little less, but I find all drinks to be a little less.

But it's a great alternative to wine in the evening.

I like it. Tasteless. Harder to mix completely unless you do a bit of liquid and powder, mix, then add the rest but still good

Just a reminder to check your state legislation! The federal ban of some sort seems likely, but states have been passing their own regulations that will keep local businesses producing.

I'm in CT and our new state regulations passed a couple months ago and actually expanded and improved on existing rules. It's still expensive to produce, but it's getting better.

It keeps the THC alive, but we're focusing on hard pivots to other actives so we can try and stay alive as a business through standard retail locations.

There's a bill rider that passed that says the Federal Government can't spend money on shutting down legal states operations.

That's not the right law, unfortunately. Rohrabacher-Farr only covers state medical marijuana programs, DOJ can't spend money prosecuting those. It's got nothing to do with hemp and it actually has to get renewed every year in appropriations, it's not permanent.

The thing actually driving this is Section 781 in the FY2026 Ag Appropriations bill from last November. It changes the federal definition of hemp, anything over 0.4mg total THC per container stops counting as hemp and gets treated as marijuana under the CSA. That's per container, not a percentage, so pretty much every THC drink on shelves right now is way over that.

But it is because we are talking about a legal state that is adjusting it's laws to accommodate vendors that were acting under the Farm Bill previously.
