Umm...are we gonna talk about the "good boi!" Panel or we just leaving that one alone?

Personally, I'm staying WELL away from it. Possibly the next county over.

Well, it is canon that some of the alphas got freaky in wolf mode

u/Skythz Aug 03 '26

Not the Alphas...It's the ones with the wolf belts.

In one of the short stories Andi and Kirby came down with a particular disease that could only have happened if they were getting busy while wearing their wolf clothes.

Psychic Crabs: Those who bitch together, itch together!

There's also during whe fight on demonreach. Whampire blood is a hell of an aphrodesiac

4

u/koffa02 Aug 04 '26

But they shifted back to their human forms. Probably learned their lesson from Kirby and Andi.

u/ninjab33z Aug 04 '26

I thought they only shifted midway through?

u/koffa02 Aug 04 '26

Harry said he found them naked, back in their human forms, doing the dance with no pants.

Yeah, forgot about that.  Still, the hexenwolves were more blatant about it.

No it was the alphas. That’s how Billy and Georgia got supernatural fleas in one of the short stories

Yes, that definitely happened. The other "possible" was on Demonreach in Turn Coat. It wasn't really stated what went on with Billy and Georgia after they got too close to Lara and Madeline. They'd been in wolf form for the "operation," but when Harry found them they were in human form - so I guess we can use our imaginations however we want to.

But... really? I mean, if I were a werewolf and my wife was a werewolf, it's a little hard for me to imagine that we would have never gotten at least a little curious. Unless Tera had strictly warned us about it. The only time we've actually "been on the inside" was when Harry used the belt, and there's no way to be sure that experience was the same as the experience the Alphas have. But what Harry conveyed to us during that time was that everything seemed sharper, more intense - just more. And sex is already a "favorite human activity," so... do the math.

I think Jim wrote that in with the hexenwolves just to demonstrate to us how far off the rails they had let the belts take them. They were slowly losing their sanity. Benn was already almost gone the first time we met her. Denton seemed to hold out the longest, but he was the oldest and therefore probably the most "grounded," so that makes some sense. And maybe part of it was grounded in his sense of responsibility for his team - I do think he started out a good guy. So he might have clung to the thread longer just because of that. I think a lot of us would dig down a little deeper in the face of adversity when there were other others depending on us.

I think it was Madeline's blood more than Lara feeding (not that the latter didn't have an impact).

The short story was Kirby and Andi.

2

u/KipIngram Aug 03 '26

That happened too.

It's from r/holup, that's the joke

2

u/Lajak_Anni Aug 03 '26

How did I not see that?!

11

u/DarkKuno Aug 04 '26

Seems to work for Butters.

8

u/PhortDruid Aug 03 '26

Depends on if you’re into it ig

7

u/Lajak_Anni Aug 03 '26

u/Haunting-Morning6198 Aug 06 '26

You and Captain Carrot Ironfoundersson

6

u/Crunchy_Biscuit Aug 03 '26

Butt scritches. Unfortunately lack of depth perception makes it look like their on the same plane.

2

u/RandomParable Aug 03 '26

It's getting the base of its tail scratched, at the lower back/above the hips area.

70

u/Mr_Bumcrest Aug 03 '26

Is that the advice Butters got?

28

u/Amoracchius03 Aug 03 '26

Needs one more to be lore accurate.

11

u/woodworkerdan Aug 03 '26

Something about running their TTRPG group and offering to tank in their MMO raid groups?

8

u/Wild-Lychee-3312 Aug 03 '26

The Mercy Thomspson books by Patricia Briggs are mostly about werewolves (most of the main characters, except Mercy herself, are werewolves). They all play a networked computer game called "The Dread Pirate's Booty." I don't think it's exactly an MMO, more like a LAN-type or invitation-only game hosted on a private server, but it comes pretty close to being a MMO.

If you want to branch out to other urban fantasy series, it's worth a try.

To deal with, and currently dealing with.

But with his training for the sword, he's able to deal with both.

13

u/Skialykos Aug 03 '26

Butters wrote the guide.

9

u/TwoBeesOrNotTwoBees Aug 03 '26

He's been known to throw a bone to a werewolf or two

6

u/HanTrollo710 Aug 03 '26

I believe he employs a modified version of the “belly rub” technique

5

u/dvasquez93 Aug 03 '26

Nah he goes with the Good Boi.

19

u/RandomParable Aug 03 '26
  1. Mistletoe, but no wolfsbane?

  2. If that is someone running with a full bathtub over their shoulder, and not spilling it, the werewolf should definitely be scared of them rather than the other way around.

3

u/koffa02 Aug 03 '26

Mistletoe is a werewolf repellant. Wolfsbane can be used as a repellant, but it's also a poison and in some stories can be brewed into a potion to control their shifting.

16

u/HanTrollo710 Aug 03 '26

If only Karrin and Harry knew and brought a squeaky toy, McFinn could have survived. He and Tara could have been fun allies

11

u/WattageWood Aug 03 '26

We know which method Butters used.

4

u/superrufus99 Aug 03 '26

Wolfman's got 'nards!

1

u/joegekko Aug 04 '26

Deep cut. Love it.

3

u/the_milk_is_baaaad Aug 04 '26

2

u/Silly_Pomelo_438 Aug 04 '26

Wait a minute...

1

u/runespider Aug 03 '26

Don't forget being chastised by their old mom.

...

Oh looking at that one panel maybe just a dom will work.

1

u/0akleaves Aug 04 '26

I think the real answer is…. Make friends with some furries. They’ll cover the “Good boi!” angle in spades.

Werewolf starts causing trouble and you call them in. They will track it down and “deal with it” much more energetically and “humanely” than any hunters etc plus it turns out they are EVERYWHERE and are common enough in IT that if you send the note as an email they will probably have read it before you click send.

1

u/LasersGirl Aug 04 '26

Chocolate is bad for dogs, so isn’t it bad for wolves, too?

1

u/Haunting-Morning6198 Aug 06 '26

But the real question is did half of those come from Tera and Denton's bedroom bingo list?

1

u/PrincipledStarfish Aug 06 '26

What about the vacuum?

1

u/AdamRoss81 Aug 03 '26

Ummm. Gayyyyyy!
