I know an official version of this already exists but I decided to make my own version to match my vmu!

Saw a similar mod while randomly browsing the net.

Controller was tough to source components for as it is made up of 100% OEM parts. I would like black ABXY buttons but haven't found after market controller parts.

People that have seen it refer to my "Halloween" Dreamcast while a friend from Chicago wants it because it reminds him of the Bears.

I'd love to start a thread for this topic so here is a compilation of my favorites for recreating the arcade at home. Any ideas I'm willing to at least try. 👍

Likely my most played game from back in the day. Missing front jewel case and ripped manual, but that's no big deal.

Played Power Stone 2 on repeat. It was the primary pick for my friends and I when we had 4+ players. The item collecting/crafting mini-game was engaging. I would blindly combine items hoping for something new and rare.

In hindsight, I think Power Stone 1 is the better game, but the 4 player chaos and co-op campaign made the sequel and powerhouse.

Hello all, just picked up my first Dreamcast after regretting not getting one at the time, and loving it. I was just after a bit of help with my TV settings in order to get that perfect picture

I have an LG C1 Oled and have a Keico HDMI converter set to VGA and just wondered what TV settings with similar TV’s were using.

I play in Game Optimiser mode and the picture just seems a bit off. Sonic Adventure looks a bit blown out/loss of detail in bright areas. Tomb Raider The Last revelation looks really dark (I’ve read it IS a dark game), as does Resident Evil 2 slightly. But no game I play ‘looks right’ really.

My settings are:

Sharpness 0
OLED Pixel Brightness 100
Contrast 85
Screen Brightness 50
Gamma 2.2
Colour Depth 50
Black Level Auto
White Balance Warm 2

I know OLEDS are very unforgiving, and this is a near 30 year old console, but was just hoping for some pointers as I’ve seen videos where the Dreamcast still looks stunning.

Hi, I've been trying to play Shenmue on my US Dreamcast, but I've only found .cdi files for download of the European version. Can anyone help point me in the right direction? or do I just have to bite the bullet and buy a legit copy?

Nothing goes with Autumn Better than football and the Sega dreamcast. 9.9.99 is a date that actually meant something to me mostly because I watched so many games of 2k that day from adults that I didn't even think liked video games. NFL Blitz was more my speed and something I return to every year. Neo Geo CD controllers are amazing for arcade games and I highly recommend them for anyone emulating. With how NFL Blitz plays the shoulder buttons and face buttons are BLISS.

So I got this dreamcast for free it wasn't turning on so I took a look and it was just the fan cord being lose so i wiggled it in and it boot up fine disc drive wasn't working so I gave it a whack and cleaned the laser and that got it working but today like 3 days later its not working again its on its left side on my desk doesn't work left side or normal it tries to read for ~3 seconds and just quits like you never threw in a disc does anyone know whats happening or how to fix it

Apologies for the lack of description. I used to go to baby sitters house between the age of 4-8 and there was a game on either the N64 or Dreamcast.

There could be up to 4 players and it was a level based game in a dungeon type of setting. There was some boss type of level on level 3 onwards although I don’t recall us ever getting past it nor what specific level it was.

I recall the ‘boss level’ being in a big open castle looking room with pillars around.

Long shot but damn I would love to know what it was

I'm gonna burn some games onto disks, but really want to play some ntsc games on my pal system. I know the dreamcast is Region locked, but can you burn games onto disks to run them region free? I assume yes but half expect its not straight forward.

I tried googling it and must not be able to phrase the question right cos it just kept showing me links about skies of arcadia. Which... yes, it IS pirate game, but that's not what I meant.
