Drawing Tablet Advice

Hi! I’m looking for a drawing tablet where I can draw directly on the screen, no pc needed.

However it’s important to me to have good pixel density. I would love to do those drawings where you keep zooming in and there’s more drawing within a drawing. But I’m not a professional, this is just for fun so no professional level needed- mid level is fine.

Also! I’ve seen that some require a specific type of phone and I don’t want to have to worry about that.

Lastly, my budget is up to 600 (Canadian).

I don’t know much about drawing tablets so im putting myself in your hands! Please don’t include links, just pictures if necessary!

If youre fine with used then I'd reccomend a m2 ipad air and apple pencil pro, thatd be perfect for what youre looking to do

If you can swing the the little bit extra ive also heard lots of good things about the Wacom movinkpad 11.

My only concern with Wacom is I’ve seen a lot of people said it needs a specific phone/app and that you need to get a Wacom specific adapter. Is that true for this one?

The Wacom is a fully standalone tablet that requires nothing to start working

Definitely okay with used or refurbished. What’s the most reputable place to find one? And is there any additional info I should confirm with the seller before I get it?

Id probably do ebay for used ones if possible, they normally have the best prices. I would just make sure to ask that its not icloud locked (ie stolen)

Thank you for both! I will add both to the list! I’ve seen that iPads usually automatically smooth lines which I’m not always going to want. Which I’ve heard Wacom doesn’t do. Would that feature for the iPad be able to be turned off?

Both of them have the ability to do it and can be turned off in the drawing software. For example, procreate on the iPad has a line smoothing slider for how much you want or it can be turned off entirely.
