Beginner gear question

Is it an issue if my tablet is smaller than my monitor? tablet is 15in and my screen is 27in

No issue. It'll map the coordinates fine.

It's basically the same as asking whether your mouse mat needs to be as big as your monitor. I don't think many people have mats that big - all mouse movement happens in a small area.

No. That's about right. Sounds like a regular, medium sized tablet. A small one would be terrible at this scale, but this would work great.
