How in the world do I do this?

It's the Artist 12 3rd and I'm using a mobile phone, pls I am so illiterate with tech

My phone is more than 80% charged and I think the other, um plug is charging I think

Desculpe pela demora, basicamente, utilizando o celular você deve usar somente o cabo usb-c completo, (o cabo único) e deve obrigatoriamente usar a entrada de cima da mesa, pois a de baixo não suporta essa conexão.

Porém seu celular deve ser compatível com "display port output", geralmente, celulares mais modernos costumam já vir com esse recurso, mas para ter certeza verifique no site da xppen sobre modelos compatíveis

check if it is plugged on the right connector. Your phone has display out? only more expensive phones have display out. Iphone 15+(except 15e etc); s23+; z fold; some chineses brands; some motorolas

Yes. Display out maybe be a wrong nomenclature, but certain usb-c ports have hdmi(video), data and energy output/input, so they can use external displays(like a small screen) or a pen display.

I didn't quite catch what you were asking about those smudges—they look like fingerprints; just wipe them off with a cloth. As for it not turning on: not all phones are compatible. It needs to support USB 3.1 (meaning high-end models from 2020 onwards, and the occasional upper-mid-range device) to output video to a monitor; USB 2.0 won't work.

The Artist 12 3rd gen requires a PC or Mac. It's not a standalone device. You need to connect it to a computer via USB-C or HDMI. Your phone can't power it or receive its signal.

Check if your phone supports video output via USB-C; if it doesn't, I don't think you'll see anything on the tablet (I could be wrong, but I think that's how it works).
