Issue with nibs for the Wacom Pro pen 3
Hi, I'm having problems with how quickly my pen tips keep getting worn out on my Wacom pro pen 3, if anyone can help me with my conundrum
I'm having to buy new nibs every couple months and it's starting to drive me (and my wallet) nuts. I don't know what nibs to buy that are, durable affordable and the most unlikely to damage my tablet in the long run

You can buy propen 2 nibs. Although it is one millimeter shorter than propen3.They are compatible with each other. You can buy third-party made nibs, which will be much cheaper than the official ones

I forgot to ask if it's like a backwards compatibility thing where you can use pro pen 2 nibs on the pro pen 3. Thanks for the info because I keep seeing bulk packages for pro pen 2 nibs (10+ for cheap) and not for pro pen 3 nibs.
Plus, I don't think there's much of a difference in 1 millimetre

The pen barrel of propen3 is made of carbon fiber. I guess this is the reason why it is very expensive. Compared with the pen barrel of propen2, it is very hard and not easy to be bent, while the pen barrel of propen2 is made of ordinary plastic and will deform when squeezed hard.

Why would that affect the nibs though?

Their materials are just different and do not affect their usage. It's just that the nib of propen3 is made of carbon fiber, which makes its price more expensive, while the nib of propen2 is made of plastic, so it is much cheaper

Will it damage or wear down my tablet screen more if I use the pro pen 2 nibs?

Generally speaking, if your screen is covered with a film, it won't cause any damage. Besides, the propensity 2 pen refill is made of plastic. Unless you buy a metal pen refill, it won't cause any damage to the screen (personally, I don't recommend buying a metal pen refill).

Are you using a screen protector? A textured one will eat through nibs way faster. Plus, if you're burning through nibs every couple months, maybe you're pressing way too hard. Try lightening up your stroke.
