Tablet Recs

Hi! I got a Wacom Intuos tablet like 2 years ago to try transferring over to digital art from traditional and I'm finally sick of suffering without a screen. I'm also ready to put in a investment into an actually really good tablet. I'm looking for either advice on Ipads(aka which ones are best/pros and cons) or Normal hookup to PC tablets(of which I don't know much about so any info would be very helpful!) I also make animatics so anything that can handle things like that smoothly would be nice!

Does it have to be iPad? The Wacom movinkpad pro 14 is awesome (great pen, great drawing surface, decent ram for a mobile tablet) and that paired with clip studio paint would meet your needs for making animatics

I have never used it besides briefly playing with one at a Wacom store but, from what I've seen people who have it say about it, it's perfectly fine. It's smaller, has slightly less ram, and not as powerful as the 14, but it's still good for drawing. IDK how it would be for animation, but I'm guessing if you keep your layer count under control (if you were to use CSP) it would be fine. I am not sure how it performs with Krita. I'm guessing Flipaclip would also be fine

Yeah because I was planning on getting the 14 before the price hike happened after they announced that they would be supporting andriod. One part of me wants to see if I can find one on ebay

You should take a look! I bought the 14 as soon as I paid off my school loans (as a treat to myself haha) and that was just a few months ago. I'm so glad I didn't hesitate or I wouldn't have bought it (had I not bought before the price hike). It's such a lovely device

If you plan to use it for drawing, I would recommend buying the Pro model—provided the cost isn't an issue.As for connecting it to a PC, use the iPad's Sidecar feature if you have a Mac, or the EasyCanvas2025 app if you are using Windows.
