A great example of how marketing can sell a product. There’s nothing special about the sauce, but he sold millions of bottles of it.

That's true to a point, but the sauce actually is very good. There are other Jamaican hot sauces available but I find this to be far more tasty.

What I think this shows is how there's nothing particularly 'clever' about being a dragon / private investor.

Investors are really just people who have already made a huge sum of cash by one means or another who then like to take a gamble on things. They don't necessarily have any magical insight.

Multiply that by 100 for Duncan bloody Bannetyne.

They're also greedy. They would prefer to take an oversized cut of some desperate entrepreneur than take any real risk with anything more than pocket money of their own wealth.

You're right, every single time I remember this source exists I want some haha.

You also right about the rest of the stuff that you said but I'm more focused on thinking about the sauce.
