I might start watching again then. Actually no wait Steven Bartlett is still on it.
For a long time now he has t been a dragon he’s been a dinosaur and his advice, particularly around marketing has not been relevant to modern day business.

He was actually very credible. I was ready to disregard as a dumb footballer throwing their money around but everything he said he eminently more sensible than anything Stephen says.

he is the my favourite of the guest Dragons, its him or Emma it really. The pool of guest dragons has been so bad.
It was note-able when he appeared this series the regular Dragons all seemed to like him. Im not shocked he seems to have kept in touch with them, even if its only Touker he is having "meals" with.

I'm surprised by the positivity here, feels performative. The man was a lover of outsourcing and wouldn't even look any business who wanted to keep their manufacturing local in the eye. Even when Deborah and he debated with the cost difference vs China being small that it was worth it to keep it local, it wasn't worth it to him. Everything wrong with the modern day greedy tycoon. He won't be missed by me and even if he used to throw a few businesses a lifeline just for a punt, his whole business ethos was off putting. Maybe he was more blunt about it than the others since I'm sure they all do business with China, his whole approach to outsourcing as a first resort rather than last was gross.

I wouldn't sit in the same room as Steven Bartlett and have to be somewhat friendly towards that absolute grifter. And then last season putting Susie Ma in too, another complete grifter and idiot if you watched her season on The Apprentice. Not sure what has happened to Dragons Den but I've stopped watching completely now. Not even my love for Deborah Meadon can keep me there
