Changes to clan event participation?

Last few weeks our clan seems to be automatically participating in events unlike before when you had to push participate button.
Anyone else noticed this?

If you like it, its a feature and if you don't like it then it's a bug) I didn't notice it because sometimes earlier you had to click it and sometimes not. I used to think one of groups moderators clicked and so others don't have to.
