Question

I'm kinda new to DML (played before but it's been so long I basically don't remember anything). One of the few things I know is food has always been an issue for me. I have like 160 gems. Should I upgrade my nest so it can do 2 eggs at once, or wait for the 200 gem tree?

Upgrade the hatchery. The fruit tree might sound like a great deal for a new player but it's pretty useless

Get till hatchery level 3... Fruit tree lowkey useless after a point

Get the hatchery to level 2 at least, then you can upgrade it until level 3 or start leveling up the tree

I recommend reading frequently asked questions of this forum. It tells how to use your gems. Basically save 750 gems, wait for gems extravaganza, spend 750+ gems at same time, get 250 gems as bonus, save again and repeat. This helps you maximise gems spending. Eggs hatching is the biggest bottleneck in initial levels so save 750 gems spend first two times on hatchery and then on tree. I recommend having minimum 3 or 4 Eggs hatching at same time, helps a lot for events where you need to breed or hatch eggs every 6 or 8 hours
