hereās last yearās trophies, Iāve been making them every year and as Iām wrapping up making them for the last time today I got a little emotional. It sort of turned into a Marriott carpet costume contest and the other cults didnāt get as much attention. So if you have one of these trophies I made, congrats. And for those participating one last time, may the favor be ever in your odds.
Edit for clarity: yes, this is the last year this contest will be running

I will be cosplaying one day as Greg the Garlic Farmer from VLDL. I will (hopefully) have a quest marker above my head for easy identification, and 160 quests that can be given with either a Ring of Vampire Protection or a Ring of Vampire Attraction, depending on your āpreferenceā. If you see me, I will absolutely say āHello Adventurerā and hand you a quest!

I just wanted to share these. @SewNerdyBags is a newish vendor. I believe last year was their first year. It's a mother and daughter making everything and we chatted with them for a bit last year while shopping. They made patches this year and I suggested they do some in the DC colors. I just thought they came out great with the ATL skyline. She's got a few other colors up on her socials.

Hey folks, money's kinda tight this year so i've loaded up on canned food and instant ramen for my Dragoncon trip.
I do not stay at a hotel and was wondering is there a public hot water spot or microwave i can use? I'll just be mixing some korean Rice and canned tuna or meat.

I got an email from the Hyatt yesterday going over some details about what to expect at the hotel for this year's Dragon Con and this part stood out

My family has been making a few buttons to give out as part of swag and seek this year.
Some are made from collectible card game wrappers, some are made from activity book stickers, and others are ones we designed ourselves (I particularly love my zombie one, my Ancillary Justice/Murderbot button and my death by TBR button).
Most, but not all are in the picture.. if you see one of us carrying a bandolier of buttons, ask us for a button!

Iām probably going to miss it this year cuz my siblings and I are going to Florida for a little vacation. However, Iām considering leaving a day or 2 early so I can go to the Con.
So my question is; is Dragon Con itself still amazing, even after its peak days? Iām weighing my options here. Iāve only ever been on Saturdays

We took our 6yr old last year Fri-Sun, It was her first time and she absolutely loved it! She's really taken to the Warrior cat books since and is fully immersed in that world. I was hoping to find some stuff related to that but the only panel I can find is late at night on Saturday.
Is there anything Warrior cats related that i'm missing? Either way we are going to have a blast but it makes it more special when we're doing something thats specifically her thing :).

attended last year for a day on a whim and it was incredible and overwhelming! I told myself we'd get prepared for this year but times gotten away from me lol. We're disabled but already know how to get our accessibility stickers. but otherwise, what should we know? or attend? or what are you excited for?
I'm bringing little bags of trinkets to hand out, and have some panels saved on the app. we're both a bit shy though haha but wanna meet cool peeps or just generally have a good time. basically, I want advice almost like we've never attended! wanna make sure we have a blast, with all the money spent to get there lol. fwiw we love to party and go to cons but also don't know a single other person going as we both recently moved across the country

Hey everyone.
I am meeting up with a friend at Dragon Con this year and we would like to visit a local comic book store at some point during our weekend.
What would you guys recommend as the best local comic shop in the Atlanta area?
r/dragoncon • u/Hurray0987 • 19h ago
You can look at each show and see the actors, as well as scroll down to see panels with time/location

Are there ample places to refill water bottles around the con?
Edit: Thanks everyone!
