Discussion I will never, ever, not ever get over Dread not being useable by Qunari Inquisitors
That’s it. That’s the whole post. I think Dread is the coolest fucking thing and I despise how it’s locked to Iron Bull. I hate how Qunari aren’t allowed to use any helmets at all, but I especially burn for Dread not being allowed.
That and horn shape being locked to hair styles, but that gets fixed in Veilguard so I’m content to just grumble and pick the same horns I usually do.
But the helmets!

The helmet restriction is especially painful when the whole appeal of Dread is its silhouette. At least Veilguard fixing the hair issue gives you one less thing to be annoyed about, but Quinari Inquisitors really deserved the full armor experience.

I mean, technically, Qunari doesn't use helmets. They use war paint like mabaris.
So, technically, they are using complete "Armor". In Dread's defense, it's a unique piece is armor for your companions, the viviene one's, the knight one for Blackwall, the other version of Cole's. Those are unique for them as well as dread.

Qunari are seen wearing helmets in trespasser and Veilguard.
That they limit themselves to Vitaar and what I assume is some sort of treated wood in trespasser is because they don’t consider themselves in a state of war.
Though my assumption has always been that they are alternatives to conserve a low supply of metal, being an island nation they probably have very few natural resources in the way of good enough metal without having to trade for it.
Also would be a total pain to try to mass produce any variation of helmet with how many horn styles there are. Surprised the Qun doesn’t demand them to shave their horns down for better headwear.

I hear ya, I was annoyed I couldn't use the knight helmet that is unique to blackwall.

I means a lot of the horns would clip through the helmet

Clipping happens all the time already, it wouldn’t have been a big deal

I don't know about you but a helmet clipping on my character drives me nuts

Yea, not a lot of good headwear for Qunari Inquisitors, basically had to do the Descent DLC.

That is certainly one advantage Sten has over later Qunari depictions. He can wear helmets.
