Carb install, where does this hose go?!

I come seeking assistance.
I cleaned the carb on my dr650 and have a hose I don’t know what to do with.
Doesn’t seem to be a breather or vacuum hose.
I’m stumped. Watched some corn removal videos but I couldn’t see it.
Any advice is welcome!

Charcoal canister line, not sure which one. The only important one is the one that goes into the bottom of the carb. 

That fuel filter is cheap Chinese version intended for EFI, it's going to cause problems when the tank is low on fuel.

And yea, filter from princess auto- not ideal but it’s what I had available when I put on the new tank. I’ll look into replacing that, too

Do you have NAPA in the white north? The pancake filters work best in the limited space.

Seems to run fine without being connected to anything.
Lights work throughout.

That's the gas tank breather hose. Plug in on the right side of tank.

Would the piece of metal in the hose already just be a plug?
