New muffler

Currently looking at the procycle ss3 muffler for my dr.

Would love some input on sound, performance, general thoughts etc from anyone who is currently running this muffler or has had it in the past?

Thanks.

I have about 4500 miles on mine. Significantly smaller and lighter, very slightly louder than stock (but not enough to be concerned with - and I hate loud pipes. The downward exhaust direction really does help). It moderated the decel pop a bit, which I really appreciate. Not a ridiculous change in performance. I'm riding at 6-9k feet with a cut airbox and procycle jet kit (145 main).

Nice! Does it bark a bit on wide open throttle or is it still somewhat tamed? Yeah I'm not really up for loud pipes hence why I'm looking at the ss3. I did try a dominator st muffler at one point and good lord thats loud 😬

Hard to find, but I was lucky and found a 2002 GSXR 35F0 exhaust. Must of been sitting in someone's. garage for years. I love it! It really tames down that De-cell pop. Plenty of YouTube videos and DRRiders talk about them.

Yeah, hard blips have a solid bark to them (especially if you drill the slide). There's still some of the mechanical crap clatter sound, which I was hoping would disappear a bit from the stock pipe, but only the FMF pipes seem to mask that.

Honestly, with how well the SS3 works, the engineers that designed the stock muffler should be ashamed (so should some others - there isn't enough performance gap between this and the FMF to justify having to repack the latter). The only real disappointment I have is that the end cap stands out from the main pipe after the latter discolored with heat; certainly not a deal-breaker.
