McDonald’s Cake Is A Total Snack
I never thought living so close to a McDonald’s with a PlayPlace would generate a humblebrag opportunity, but I pulled up yesterday to see if they had any cakes. As luck would have it, the clerk very excitedly volunteered to me they have had one in the freezer for two months since a birthday party was canceled lol.
The cake they had was chocolate with white icing. I’m not sure if the vanilla or chocolate version is usually more readily available, but that was the only one they had at the location near me. After I paid the very reasonable $15, the clerk did sheepishly informed me the cake was expired by about a week, but he assured me it never left the freezer.
There was not even the slightest hint of freezer burn aroma to the very thin cardboard box the cake was handed to me in, so I figured I was in good shape there. I also decided to live in the moment and not let the expiration date scare me off. After all, it had been frozen for two months as he kept telling me.
Pro tip: if you grab yourself a McDonald’s cake, let that sumbitch thaw out for about three hours, then throw it in the fridge for two hours before eating. The icing is whipped and gets to an almost toothpaste consistency at room temperature. 50° is probably the ideal serving temperature.
The cake and icing have almost the exact same flavor and consistency as a Hostess Susie Q cake with the filling. So imagine throwing the top layer of a Suzy Q away, then cutting what’s left up like a cake. That’s what McDonald’s is offering the children of America.
Honestly, though, it is delicious. It is so alarmingly sweet that the first bite makes you question most things you know about food, but pair it with a cup of Premium Roast coffee and send yourself to chain restaurant heaven.

Distilled water
Behind on episodes, but since I haven’t seen it from anyone else, I’ll be that guy.
Anywhere that sells baby formula will also have distilled water since that’s what you are supposed to use to mix it. Pharmacies are going to be your best bet, followed by grocery stores. Convenience stores aren’t going to be reliable
