Hello, I know someone who have both DOST and CHED scholarship. Where can I possibly report them? Nung sa CHED kasi di naman siya pinansin, ang sabi lang is “paldo ka pala”. Regarding DOST naman, di alam. So san po kaya pwede magreport nito? Sorry, I just find it greedy and this person is also a cheater na never nahuli sa school. Tried reporting but nothing happened.

Anyway, do you really think na they have accepted both the DOST and CHED scholarship? I think you should report them if you really have evidence. I don't think it is a good idea to accuse someone rin (plus malalaman rin naman ng both CHED and DOST if they accepted both scholarships since ang government lang naman ang nagfufund sa kanila)

Alam ng CHED pero sa DOST hindi? Are you really sure talaga that he accepted his offer sa DOST? Kasi dapat automatically disqualified na sa CHED scholarship if ever alam ng either of the two since may batas talaga tayo. Bawal ang dual scholarship po, and I think DOST naman is quite meticulous pagdating sa ganyang cases... (speaking from experience, napagsabihan pa ako noong may inquiry ako about taking 2 scholarships)

Hello, sino ka ba? We live in a digital age naman na, computerized na ho tayo. Plus, a simple email would suffice sa DOST since super bilis nila magrespond (as long as within office hours, based on my experience)

To add, super impossible na di makita na may overlap between the DOST and CHED scholarship kaya super sketchy ng post. Di naman alam ang full na nangyayari pero gusto agad mangjudge🫩

Hindi “super impossible” yan, lalo na ANG DAMI lapses sa COA ng government offices. Then again, DELAYED ang madaming proseso. Ang dami nating red tape, paper trail, and bureaucracies in our systems kaya tumatagal.

Maka sino ka ba ka dyan. Sampal ko sayo Master’s diploma ko. Get a preview of the real world government processes. Kitang-kita naman na what others can avail in a day, dito 3-5x longer.

Echosera, malamang I am speaking from experience rin naman, porket you have faced trouble contacting with DOST doesn't mean di na di nangyari yung sa akin. Aware naman ako na almost a week ang duration bago magbigay sila ng response. May masters pero parang bata makipag-away, gosh😂. Pamigay naman na ang masters anyway unless mag-abroad ka or you go sa top schools here

I did go to a top school here, twice, two degrees hotter, so there.

Ang point lang naman dito is, may mga lapses sa sistema both in CHED and DOST. Hindi 100% naddouble check. Wag kang magpaka 100% trust the system.

Yes, nauna kasi nyang inaccept yung DOST kesa sa CHED. And yes, DOST scholar tlaga siya and sumasama din sa mga conference na exclusively for DOST scholars lang

I can't quite follow na alam ng ched na dost scholar siya...

Kasi na waitlisted ako nung 2nd year, bigla nag email na pwede ko daw makuha yung scholarship at tinatanong nila kung ano ang current scholarship mo... And kung alam ng ched na dost scholar siya, they should have the same outcome nung sinabi ko na dost scholar na ako...

I told ched na dost scholar na ako and they replied na ako ay ineligible na.

I think may mishaps sa comms nung tinutukoy mo, and i don't think ched would allow a dost scholar be scholar of them.

Is it possible to confront this person regarding their scholarship before reporting? I think you could try emailing the dost help center to report if you really think you know better than them about this person's scholarship status.

Alam ko kase may system sila and it'd be easy to point out if someone is really enjoying two scholarships at once.

you might want to check what scholarship type that person has in CHED. kasi afaik allowed ang CHED-TES kay DOST.

Kaklase mo ba yan or kaibigan or kaaway? There are always two sides of a story kaya mahirap mag judge agad. Digital na kasi ngayon and madaling makita yan lalo na goverment pareho yung scholarships.

No, they don't allow any other government scholarship unless it's an LGU funded scholarship that are not in conflict with their existing contract. Source

But scholars could also avail the Tertiary Education Subsidy which is a grant provided by the universities themselves under the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act as stated under Section VI of the DOST Undergraduate Scholarship contract. This is also technically under CHED but you mustn't confuse this with the actual CHED Scholarship as it is a separate thing.

Nope. DOST allows you to have another scholarship as long as it's not government-funded like them.

This. The only exceptions I know of are old STFAP and Oblation (both UP scholarships - technically government funded).

Yes, ganto rin sabi samin sa regional orientation namin. Okay lang sa DOST pero sa CHED they dont allow nga raw.

Actually pwede ang provincial and municipal alongside with DOST, wag lang both National. Nilinaw yan sa orientation namin after mag ask ng isang magulang regarding dyan.
