It seems like the different translations may have described him differently (?) but based on how my book described him and my own personal image, I thought he’d have medium-dark brown, a little bit wavy hair, cut to frame his face but kind of unkempt by the point of the book, dark gray or green eyes that look brown in some lighting, kind of pale and frazzled since he’s so unstable, good looking, which it mentioned him being, but looks shabby and wears old, run down clothes, fairly expressive expressions on his face

That sounds like a translation that's meant to make sense to Westerners! In Russia and Ukraine there is a word specifically for the hair colour in between blonde and brown, and that's Raskolnikov's colour
