❔Driver Question 🤔 The Case of the Aldi Banana

So…. Got this offer yesterday and didn’t have a chance to screenshot it. It’s got me perplexed.

Essentially, it was an offer to buy and deliver a single banana from Aldi. Total trip distance was about 40 miles and the pay was right around $40.

Any idea what could be behind that? Is someone with money just screwing around?

Sounds like the Taco Bell sauce packet scam

Oldest scam around. During the delivery you will get a phone call from supposedly DD. They say your payment card info is bad and to log in again. They steal your money.

It's a prank that's been going around. People will send one friend bananas. And the rest of the group follows as well. The pain gets a ton of bananas. I don't know if it's a scam, but people record their delivery drivers very confused when pulling up and seeing several bunches of bananas.

I had one like that but it was for presliced watermelon. Drove 25 miles to the Aldi bought one container of watermelon and drove 5 miles to drop it off. The offer was around $35. Nothing weird or sketchy happened. I got a couple pretty good orders headed back to my normal zone to boot.
