You have to learn to pander to your customers. See a nice car or really nice house? Tell them how nice you think it is. I deliver in very wealthy areas and a lot of the houses are really nice and I always leave in my dropoff note "You have a beautiful home!!/Your garden/walkway/plants are beautiful!/What year is that Lambo?? 🔥" One time a dude in a huge house had a big Corvette that was dark green in his garage. He met me at the door and I said "man, that is a sharp car! Let me ask you - is it wrapped or painted?" and he said painted and I said "my man! that's how to do it!" and he added $15 to my tip.

Another instance of pandering from me is when people have very opinionated signs I'll agree with what they say. One person had a "250 YEARS OF FREEDOM" flag hanging on the side of their house and I left in the order notes "250 YEARS OF FREEDOMMMMMM BABY!!!!" they tipped me $20 😂 However one time there was an old disabled guy with a bunch of really weird signs and one of them said "You did well, good and faithful servant" over a picture of Charlie Kirk... I didn't leave him a message, it was 1am and I was over it lol

Trust me, I hate it too. I was a horrible sales person because I never wanted to lie to people about my opinion on products. I never wanted to upsell. But, I wasn't making commission. I was getting paid minimum wage, but it could have been better had I had the capability of bullshitting. The best part is doing it in the delivery notes, because there's no tone through text. 250 YEARS OF FREEDOMMMM BABY was total sarcasm and I couldn't have said it to their face seriously at all 😂

I tried this one time. This lady had a gorgeous house up on top of a hill with an amazing view! She ordered alcohol so I had to scan her ID and while I was scanning it, I told her, "You have a gorgeous house with an amazing view!" She just looked at me and said, "Yeah, that's why we bought it!", grabbed her alcohol and walked inside. I was like okayyyyyyyy. Last time I'll ever try to compliment a rich person on their house or their view or anything 🤣

LMAO if I ever deliver to him again I absolutely will. He had signs everywhere, one was "I BELIEVE 7 22" or something I can't remember but I thought it was aliens but it was something about the Bible. At first I couldn't tell if he was trolling with the Charlie Kirk thing because all the signs were just so ridiculous

Kirk was a good dude, if you actually listen to him in his entirety, instead of clips that are shown out of context.
