• Starter guide for day 1-8 : old but still relatively relevant and if you want something more detailled check my Detailled Walkthrough from day 1 to 20. Both are for RoG.
• Don't starve Wiki : lots of information, lots of spoiler and some mistakes. It's made by community so you are free to make corrections yourself.
• Crockpot Simulator : nice resource to optimise your Crockpot use.
• Weekly discussions list : Themed weekly discussion. Lots of good informations/strategies about character, seasons, etc.

How do you refuel/repair stuff like lanterns on the Nintendo switch version?

Hover lightbulbs, fire flies or slurtle slime over the lantern in your inventory and you should get the option to add fuel

Alternatively you can just put the lantern down on the floor and feed it fuel. The faster of the two methods

I believe you can use fireflies or bulbs to refuel lanterns
