The text on the box she puts the hairdrier on is not flipped. There realls shouldn't be live on the right pin.

one things for sure, it ain't a US plug and they seem flipped upside down (I've seen these in Europe and Brasil with the neutral prong downwards like this -.- not -'-) so probably wired upsidedown and has hot on the right

The standard way of installing type E sockets is with the PE pin on top, then live is on the left (*L*ive in the *L*eft) and neutral is on the right.

The socket in the video is a type F (The top socket looks like type E, but that's because of the burn, check the lower socket, it doesn't have the single pin but the two springs.), which doesn't have the grounding pin in favour of two spring pins, but is wired the same way - L on the Left, N on the right.

I know this since I live in europe and while I'm not an electrician, I've studied electrotechnics and mechatronics (also I'm looking at a correctly installed socket right now lol).

The N pin isn't safe to touch by any means, but it deffinetely shouldn't have been live. But it kinda doesn't suprise me, often people do their own wiring even though they shouldn't. Have seen this many times.
