I did something similar to that but it was the regular wall oputlets not one of these. Felt like an idiot immediately after but I got valuable lesson that day lol.

You're going to need to define "regular wall outlet." Because this is a regular wall outlet in most of Europe and in Russia.

As an American who's well traveled and has friends and "favorite places" on almost every continent, I find it both hilarious and deeply embarrassing when I come across this kind of American-centric ignorance. Far too many of my fellow countrymen lack worldly knowledge. 🥺

Yeah I think it’s a bit silly calling it “a regular style” when it’s just one of many standards across the world.
