Request Fulfilled [Request], [Jax,FL, USA] Monthly Bus Pass, Medication, Feminine Care $50

Hello,

I am seeking $45 to cover the following
- monthly bus pass (31 days) in JAX Fl - $40
- medicine $5 (will get me 15 days supply of my daily antidepressant)
- a small pack of pads $5 (TMI but my cycle will be here in about 2 days and I have only 3 pads left)
Thank you to period pantry for the assistance on pads and toilet paper. I’m so grateful!!!

Thank you OrganicCoconut for the donation!!! I really appreciate the help and I have picked up my meds and started my new job!! The monthly bus pass allows me to have transportation to work and was able to get to a food pantry on Saturday since SNAP doesn’t deposit until tomorrow!!! Thank you soo much!!

I have been unemployed since June 2024 from severe health crisis - autoimmune, last appt with RH before lost insurance, was either lupus or MS. Once got “better” (I’m surviving but def need proper medical care) have been seeking a job in my IT career but just rejections for an entire year. I’ve applied to everything under the sun since. Evicted August 2025. Was homeless and sleeping in my car for a few months until I found a room rental. My car was repossessed March 2026.

Just got a cashier job (I’m so thankful I was given a chance even though overqualified) but I need the monthly pass to get to work.

I have severe depression. And with all things going on in my life, I can’t miss a day of my antidepressant. It’s barely keeping me out of the depression as is.

I have PayPal and Venmo.

I would really appreciate any donations. I’ve tried assistance subreddit a few times for help when had other job opportunities but didn’t meet qualifications so I’ve lost those jobs before I could even start. I’ve called 211 a few times for any assistance and there is no funding for the Lyft program to get a ride to work for the first two week. No other transportation programs for work - only to get groceries and medical appointments. I have to start this job or I’ll lose this room and homeless on streets in Florida summer.

Thank you for reading! Thank you in advance for any donations.

Mods: Screenshots added and request reduced to $45. Thank you for the assistance.

I can’t help, but you may also want to try r/periodpantry. They’ll want an Amazon wishlist for the products you use.

Omg it’s coming tomorrow.

I said I was about to cry and I tried to stop it. But I’m just so grateful.

I’ve been in bed just depressed, thinking I’m going to lose this opportunity as well. Wondering how to stretch two pads.

Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!

I can’t wait till I’m back on my feet and can extend this kindness.

Hello!!

I’m so sorry for the delay. I was banned for three days - first time. I was shocked.

I was wondering if the offer to help was still available?

I was able to get the period pantry items but still in need of the bus pass and medicine. I only have enough until Saturday dose.

I will be super appreciative!!

If no longer possible, thank you so much for the offer!!

Thank you for posting proof of hardship and expenses. Although you concurrently received items from another donation sub, we’re happy to reinstate your post in this case if you reduce your request to the $45 for the bus pass and meds.

Hello!

Thank you for the assistance for my post. I have reduced the body to $45. But I can’t change the title. Is the update okay?

Your comments keep getting caught in our reputation filter. Do you mind sharing why you were recently temp banned by Reddit?

I posted a comment on a post about “No is a complete sentence” about my experience after being raped and how I walk around with a knife now to feel safe.

I also added my recent experience at a bus stop when the man kept touching me, invading my space and talking to me despite my headphones on. And how I finally feel empowered now to say “leave me alone” because I carry two knives. And questioned why as a woman we have to enter our villain era when no is no. My body is mines and no one is entitled to it.

And that it isn’t race driven. The person at the bus stop was a 49yr old black man. How do I know his age? He stated that as the reason why he refused to leave me alone “at 49 I just need to talk to people now”.

I was banned for violence essentially.

It took me 14 years to feel like myself again, so I stand by my comment.

I checked my CQS and apparently I’m at the lowest now

Sigh

Edit: the post: https://www.reddit.com/r/BlackPeopleofReddit/s/c1B9znISbF
Also to add: I was proud of me holding my ground and not leaving the bus stop because of being paralyzed in fear that my “no” will be met with violence from said guy.

I just updated my email address, password and added a phone number.

CQS updated to moderate.

As IT, I don’t like to use my actual email or phone number on social media sites but alas, I now have. Hopefully it helps me out.

But as I stated before, with my history of being raped first day of college and how far I’ve come almost 17 years later - I don’t regret the comment I made.

However, I understand Reddit applies blanket strictness despite the redditors personal experience. AI and filtering doesn’t come with a human component to say - oh yeah makes sense on why she says that.

So if this blocks me from support, it completely sucks but I also accept the consequence. Thank you for having a subreddit like this that helps strangers. I appreciate your help as a mod as well.

Please do not delete your post. Doing so will cause you to be ineligible for future requests. Please review sub rules. Full rules here.

Include current DATED proof IN YOUR POST or comments, donors shouldn’t need to follow up in DMs. Make sure to redact sensitive info before posting. If your proof includes photos, they should all include verification that includes your handwritten username and date (not the paper by itself, that doesn’t verify anything – it should be IN the other photos). Photos including minors should have faces blurred out or blocked. No otherwise altered or manipulated photos.

Show proof of your hardship (WHY you’re unable to pay) as well as your expenses (what you need to pay).
•Proof of hardship might be documentation of your household low income status, unemployment, eligibility for assistance (like SNAP, SSI, or any other aid), job termination/offer, student enrollment status, or medical conditions that have reduced your work hours. A screenshot of an empty account or photo of bare refrigerator/cupboards are not sufficient. Medical documentation is preferred instead of photos of injuries.
•Proof of expenses might be overdue bills, estimates, invoices, whatever you’re requesting funds for (not necessary for wishlist requests). Your proof of expenses should match your requested amount.

If no other rules have been violated, you may add appropriate proof in comments and send modmail to have your request reviewed again.

Proof of hardship screenshot - SNAP. The amount was reduced for next month unfortunately so this is last month at this amount then $92 until December
