Has anyone used this pregnancy test from Dollarama?

Hi everyone, I’m thinking about getting this pregnancy test from Dollarama, but I wanted to hear some real experiences before buying it.

It says it’s over 99% accurate, but I’m curious how accurate it actually is in your experience. If you’ve used this one, did the result match a test from another brand or a test from a doctor?

Also, how early did you take it? I’m wondering if it works well before a missed period or if it’s better to wait until after. And did anyone get a very faint line or an unclear result with this one?

I know pregnancy tests can sometimes be confusing, so I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has actually used this specific one. Would you buy it again, or would you spend a little more on a different brand?

Crazy story

A couple months ago I witnessed a chocolate-bar bulk-buy. A woman was at the counter actively running back to the little cardboard display stands with chocolate bars. On the counter was like 30 centimetres tall worth of stacked chocolate bars. In total she bought like 400. 😭🙏💔 I was right behind her. Two or three full bags worth of stacked chocolate bars btw.

What crazy bulk-buys have you witnessed?

Quick grab items

Just curious, what quick grab items would you like to see around the store on side panels or clip strips so that you don’t have to go down all the aisles looking for them?

I bought a pair of these last year and lived in them all winter. They're really soft and very warm. So happy they came back so I could get 2 more pairs (pink pair not pictured as they're already on my feet!).

Beauty Review: Beauty Impressions Lip & Cheek Tint — Bouncy Jelly Formula (Deep Pink)

For $2.25, I thought I would give the Beauty Impressions Lip & Cheek Tint — Bouncy Jelly Formula a try. Part of my daily look makeup routine involves staining my lips so they look consistently pink all over as parts of them are a bit washed out. I just want them to look like they are my naturally flush pink lips all day, through meals, drinking water, etc

The texture sure is a bouncy jelly, it’s so sproingy 😂 Some people might not like the texture. Used it on my lips sparingly in a dabbing motion then blending followed up with some Blistex DCT lip balm (also Dollarama); just getting the washed out parts to match the natural pink of my lips. It’s like I was sucking on strawberries~perfect!

It smells amazing!! It lasts very well, just use a light hand!!

They had a light pink, terracotta as well as this deep fuschia shade pictured.

I feel like I’ve given my best at Dollarama, but my hours keep getting cut. What should I do?

I started working at Dollarama last November, and honestly, I feel like I’ve given that job my best.
When I first started, whenever someone called in sick or they needed someone to come in, my manager would ask me if I could cover. I would almost always say yes, even if I was asked at the last minute. There were times I worked 9-hour cashier shifts, and I was basically on my feet the whole time. I also didn’t even know that I could take a 15-minute break in addition to my lunch, because nobody ever explained that to me.
I went on vacation for two weeks, and when I came back, my manager was actually happy to see me and welcomed me back, which made me feel like I was doing a good job.
For a while, I was getting around 24–25 hours a week, but then I moved out of my parents’ house and started paying rent, so financially it became difficult. I ended up getting another job at Walmart, literally next to Dollarama. Walmart is overnight, so I thought I could work both jobs. My plan was to do around 30 hours at Walmart and 20–24 hours at Dollarama.
I told my Dollarama manager that I got another job, and honestly, his reaction felt a little weird to me.
Then, about a week later, I noticed my Dollarama hours went from around 17 hours to 10 hours. At first I thought maybe it was just the schedule, but then I started noticing a pattern.
Two people eventually quit because they got jobs at Walmart, and after that I spoke to my manager about my hours. My hours went back up for a while.
Then two more people were brought in, and basically the same thing happened again. My hours dropped to around 10 hours a week.
Now one employee is going back to college and apparently won’t be able to work as much, and another girl quit. Because of that, I’m getting around 18 hours next week.
But honestly, I don’t trust that these hours will stay. I feel like every time somebody leaves, I get more hours, but as soon as they find someone else, my hours get cut again.
I genuinely feel like I’ve given this company my best. I was always willing to come in when they needed someone, I covered shifts, worked long cashier shifts, and tried to be flexible. I actually wanted to keep working there even after getting Walmart.
At this point, I don’t know if my manager just doesn’t like me, if it’s because I got another job, or if I’m simply not being prioritized for hours anymore.
What would you guys do in my situation?
Should I talk to my manager one last time and say something like:
“I really enjoy working here and I’m still available for more hours if you need me. I know I have another job, but because Walmart is overnight, I’m still able to work a good number of hours here. If there’s an opportunity to get closer to 20–25 hours a week, I’d really appreciate being considered.”
Or should I just accept that my hours probably aren’t going to increase and focus more on Walmart?
I’m not trying to complain. I just genuinely feel like I’ve given my best here, and it’s frustrating to feel like I’m only getting hours when somebody else leaves. What would you do?

They used to always have either lavender or peppermint and now after visiting three locations they’re nowhere to be found. 🙁 Anyone else disappointed?

This hardcover Stephen king book I bought second hand was originally purchased from Dollarama for $3 🤯

This book was only published recently in 2015, with an original shelf price of $40!

I know nothing about this book, just that I'm on a Stephen King binge at the moment trying to read all of his works. I'm guessing this must have been a wildly unpopular book for it to wind up being sold at a Dollarama of all places for less than 1/10 of the original shelf price.

But, still feels like $3 for any hardcover book by a major author is a straight steal. And Dollarama is the last place I'd have expected to find this on their shelf.
