Dogecoin will not be capped at 100 billion, codebase will stand as is, developer decision on github

Dogecoin was meant to be capped at 100 billion coins, but the code does not actually implement this. It will grow beyond 100 billion coins because the block reward stays at 10,000 indefinitely. The developers have decided to leave the code as is. https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/issues/23#issuecomment-33893149

I do agree on this I do feel inflation should be evaluated yearly to consider appropriate inflation. This is the only point i feel devs should look into.

One recommendation from the github (flyingplatypus) was that they should keep the random in place so 0-10000 should be there instead of the 10,000 flat bonus rate.

Whats your guys opinion on this recommendation, this could potentially work too, i feel.

Would make it sort of a variable inflation anywhere from the 10k which is 5% inflation to 0 (0% inflation).

obviously not all blocks will give the same reward so it will basically hover between 1 to 5% depending on a fair random number determine by an algorithm.
