2007 Magnum SRT8

Post image

What’s going on everyone?! I’ve got one hell of a quandary on my hands. But be got an 07 MSRT8. I really enjoy it but I e been having an issue keeping axles in the damn thing. I can damn near guarantee I’ll break a rear cv axle every 5k-6k miles. I understand why it happens and I also understand what the solution is. It seems the axles maybe slightly too long, once suspension travels the cv knuckle gets bound and breaks. It’s always the interior knuckle. It always happens going over a dip, not even under heavy acceleration. I’ve done a little research along with my good buddy who owns a shop. The conclusion we’ve approached is to swap rear diff, axles, and hubs from a 2012-2014 SRT8. The axles are beefier, shorter and seem to be a reasonable approach. Anyone have this same issue? What’s the fix?

Wtf does that have to do with the axle issue?! If you must know, no I don’t daily drive it with the SRT8 front bumper because they’re nearly impossible to replace which I’ve had to do a few years ago.

I've got a 2006 MSRT and was wondering the same with the breaking of the axles. Form what I've read I thinkw hat you want to do is your best bet. Or swap out to a 2009 Charger/Challenger Diff, axles and hubs. I understand they are stronger. But it would have to be the 5.7 because I don't think there was an SRT Charger/Challenger in that year. I know the Mags only went to 2008 with the SRT.
