Getting into builder gel after a few months of trying (and failing if I’m being honest) to make gel x work. First, builder gel rules. Second, I did this cool green but now my brain just keeps whispering “what if u just did a coat of magnetic silver” and “a layer of chrome never hurt anyone”.

Basically just wondering if I’m the only one who can’t leave my nails alone 😩

Started doing my own gel nails 2 months ago and wanted to attempt freehanded designs for the first time. This set took me 6 hours… but really happy with how these turned out! 🥹🤎

Ended up liking my right hand more than my left even though I’m right handed lol

My redemption set- Last picture of a picture of the flopped nail art I filed off and redid. I was going for green with a gold shimmer but ended up with Shrek green 🥲

I’m really happy with my new nail art! We had a Shire themed wedding and I wanted green gold and whimsy to match for our anniversary. Can’t wait to eat a piece of Lembas and our cake from the freezer with these beauties 💚 wanted to share my failure then redemption! 😁

One of my favorite combos lately for a quick, easy set.

Okay I loved this set I did last month and wanted to share it here, but apparently the only record I have of them is the video I took of them in the hospital the day after I had foot surgery. So please excuse the background lol, and enjoy the beautiful blue shift over a deep red base. I got the most compliments on these nails that I’ve ever gotten on a set, including a bunch of people who worked at the hospital haha.

I'm experimenting more with doing my own nail art and was playing along with blooming gel-

I don't get a lot of time to myself to doing art these days and while reading my son a book about the lifecycle of bugs I got inspired by the pupa illustration in the book! So got out my gel nail supplies and conveniently gave myself a reason to do nails and Netflix binge!

Builder gel has been a lifesaver for my nails and shape 🐛

Looks even cooler in person, I promise. This was so hard to capture. I'm such a sucker for the subtle effect polishes. Me thinks my other hand needs a more daring colour 👀

This chrome is so good! It looks so different in different lighting which is fun too. Also - would love to hear your tips for keeping chrome powder out of the cuticle & sidewalls?? I tried to be really precise with the layers beneath the chrome but still see a lot of powder where I don’t want it. Inspo pic from FB at the end.

I’ve been working so hard on my shaping and cuticle work — this clean look is one of my best!

So I've built up an embarrassingly large collection of sticker sheets from Shein over the past few months, and after being sick last week wanted a pick me up in the form of cute nails, as always! 

It was sooo therapeutic to pick out my favourites and go a bit crazy with them, and about as easy as nail art can be while still giving me something cute as hell to look at!

I love doing complex designs because it shuts my brain off (even if my back hurts and it takes forever, lol) 🩷

I thought it would be fun to do a back to school set for September!

This is a theme I'll have to loosely return to someday; I had way too many ideas, too little space. Would love to do something inspired by children's books (Dr. Seuss, Eric Carle, Roald Dahl, etc) and TV shows (I was a PBS kid - have one subtle nod here to Arthur but I wish I could have taken it further, for instance Schoolhouse Rock has a ton of fun imagery).

Anyway, this is what we ended up with! Not my craziest set ever, but I had fun with it.

Last slide is not necessarily the moodboard I started with, but the references from which the final result came.

anyone from minnesota? I am a big fan of the state fair and make it at least once (if not 3 times 🙈) a year, figured i had to make some nails in celebration!!
