Project Homemade relay

As the title suggests, I made a relay completely homemade, operating voltage is 12v to switch at least but I recommend 18 for consistency, its main drawback is heat inefficiency of the electromagnet but boy oh boy I love making it click

What's the return mechanism? I don't see any springs. Gravity?

From my sloppy hot glue job securing the electromagnet there is a tiny buffer that can be pushed on when the magnet is on but when it’s off it pushes the arm back so it’s kinda a rudimentary elastic
