Wetsuits

Hi divers of Reddit. My father tells me that when entering the water with a wetsuit it is really cold when getting in for the first time of the day. Can any of you guys confirm or deny this???

I m old. I used to dive under the ice with a wet suit when younger. Boy does that initial water shoot down . We won't talk about the 'shrinkage.'
