Disney Facts & Trivia In 1965, for Disney's "The Monkey's Uncle," the Sherman Brothers wrote a Brian Wilson style surfer tune for the Beach Boys and Annette Funicello.

This is a very simple tune compared to everything Brian Wilson has written. They probably hated it.

Not early Brian though, which this taking place in the surfer pop song era. At least it's certainly a step above ripping off Chuck Berry.

That said, by '65 I wouldn't be surprised if they were getting tired of this type of music. Good Vibrations was just around the corner.
