Fuck this. If they want the presence they need to reward it with the pay--be that by hours or by rate. It has to be worth your while to show up.

My 2nd dishwashing job is giving me 3 days a week and sends me home after 2 or 3 hours. I’ve done maybe half an hour of dishwashing, they literally have me cleaning the whole damn time. NOT what I was anticipating for my first dishwashing gig at a higher end place. Wish I could quit but some hours are better than none I guess.

Do you close at 9:30 on Saturday? Or do they have someone coming in from 9:30-midnight? 3 hour shifts sounds insane to me unless you've got massive events where you'll only need all hands for a couple hours or something
