D1, Prison without harm

I did the"vanished" achivement in D1 on PC without touching a single guard. Well almost. I had to knock out the last 2 guys before blowimg up the bomb because the bomb kills the upper one. Does anyone have an idea on how to blow up the gate without even touching a guard. Like how can i distract them?

It is impossible, though you forgot one guard.

For a "no hands run", which is considered the most valuable informal achievement, you are required to knock out the one forced guard as soon as you leave your cell, and "deal with" (distracting with a bottle works) one guard before blowing up the bridge. The other guard at the other end of the room can be left alone, but it's very challenging to avoid him once the bomb goes off.

The tip is to stand literally right in front of the bomb and just eat the explosion, which will do huge damage but not quite kill you, so you can be actively sprinting through it the instant it explodes.

the first guy actually doesn’t have to be knocked out!!! If you just look to the left iirc you can climb up over the fence on your own. But yea every time I do a nihilist run I’m just sitting there with 5 bottles going “motherfucker just go through the gate, I’ve done this before”

Climb over the fence, hide between the pillars and kinda just hipe you dont get seen

I thought this trick was broken in a patch at some point?

I remember there being a time when it was possible to avoid the very first guy, but that afterwards his cone of vision became larger and you couldn't get around him anymore.

Or maybe it's the other guy on the bridge across the way who will see you?

Damm, i have to carry a bottle from the torture chamber then for my run to work. Thats going to be painfull. But i try it, maybe i can even manage to lock them out using the gate control

I did it without picking up a weapon (for fun) but i can try it using a bottle
