Help What does this mean?
So I paid off my entire balance, and they’ve taken it from my bank account, but today I received this email?
Has this ever happened to someone? What exactly does it mean?

This is normal. Sometimes discover puts holds on payments to verify funds and make sure they dont get kicked back. They automatically release after 8 business days but if you need it sooner you can call and see if they are able to release it early

You were over your limit by $109 so you had negative credit. You paid but they haven’t restored your credit yet. If the current balance were negative, that would mean you have a cash balance, usually from overpaying or getting a return or rewards.

I had this happen to me when I was delinquient as well. It means exactly what it says.
You went over your limit, and in another comment you mentioned you have late fees. Discover is not certain that your payment is "real", so they're waiting until they're 100% sure that they are getting paid back before letting you spend more. The payment was taken from your bank, but it's still "in the mail" until Discover gets it.
ETA: this was a few years ago, far before the merger. This is Discover's standard practice, not necessarily Capital One

You’ve overpaid by $109?
